Every summer, the Atkins Medicinal Plant Garden hosts a one-day Garden Walk event that is open to the public. Faculty and scientists in the Pharmacognosy Institute and the UIC College of Pharmacy host the event, which involves tours of the Atkins Medicinal Plant Garden as well as a lecture by an expert on a topic related to medicinal plants and/or plants used for human health.
