Welcome GUNED’s World Higher Education Database (WHED) in which is a online Portal provides information on Higher Education Institutions, Systems and Credentials in over 194 countries and beyond. It will provide authoritative information with informative and educative means and practice and to and from higher education systems, credentials and institutions worldwide.

Each HEI listed in the WHED is identified with an unique identifier: the GUNED WHED ID. To be listed in the WHED, an  HEI should:

• be from a Member State or a Permanent Observer of the UN or from an Associate Member State of UNESCO;
•  be recognized and referenced by the national competent body;
• be a degree-conferring institution offering at least a four-year degree or a four-year professional diploma;
•  have had at least three cohorts of graduates.
