GUNED re-invests a significant proportion of its membership subscriptions to foster international collaborative research. The Research Development Fund (RDF) is an annual competitive fund aimed at bringing together researchers to undertake innovative, high quality, sustainable research that addresses global challenges.
We advise all interested member Universities from Asia, Africa and North America to join the International Universities Climate Alliance (IUCA), Federation of African Universities (FAU), Association of American Universities (AAU), Association of American Universities (AAU) and the Cooperation of Islamic Universities (CIU) by securing their global internationalization procedures while Climate change presents the world with both an enormous challenge to overcome and an opportunity to come together, share knowledge and invest in our shared future.
Our work in higher education partnerships
Under our Going Global Partnerships programme, we support the development of partnerships between the EU and other countries to enable greater international collaboration and improvements in higher education and research.
We provide grants and support for partnerships between EU and overseas institutions in areas of mutual interest in teaching, learning, research and innovation. This includes support for new transnational education (TNE) partnerships.
To date, the RDF has invested over £2.8 million into fostering international, interdisciplinary research collaboration among IUCA and GUNED member Universities around the world. The deadline for receipt of applications is Friday 20 October 2023 at 21:00 UK time.
